BIS Pacifyre® Downlighter Covers

For downlighters and spots

BIS Pacifyre® DC Intumescent fire hoods have been developed in order to give maximum protection to ceilings with installed recessed light fittings. In the event of fire the fire hood expands inwards and will therefore fill the available space with a fire resistant and strongly insulating charcoal.

Application

Ceiling light fittings must be mounted in compliance with the recommendations of the manufacturer of the ceiling.

Advantages and features

  • Lightweight and flexible
  • Prevents fire from penetrating ceiling apertures thereby keeping the protective fire resistance of the ceiling unimpaired
  • Material: mineral fibre material (thickness approx. 12.7 mm)
  • With ventilation perforations to help reduce build-up of heat in the fitting
  • Simple installation either from above or below the ceiling; can be fitted in seconds; suitable for new build and renovations
  • No drilling, screwing or support is necessary
  • Suitable for fire resistant ceilings, acoustic ceilings, suspended ceilings, plasterboard and concrete ceilings
  • Suitable for a large group of low and high voltage lighting
  • Suitable for suspended ceilings with a fire resistance of 10 to 30 or to 60 minutes
  • Moisture resistant, non-toxic and does not contain asbestos
  • Maintenance-free
