In compliance with the most recent regulations on fire safety (Building Regulations), buildings must be divided into fire separation zones. Fire resistance of the walls and ceilings between these fire separations can be rendered ineffective by seams, expansion joints and void spaces.

Therefore BS476 resulted in a need for fireproof sealing of seams, joints and cracks between walls, floors and ceilings in the fire separation zone. Walraven offers an intelligent range of Tangit® Fire Protection products to seal linear seams, joints and void spaces in a fire proof way.
Tested for fire safety
The above mentioned products have been tested by Efectis (Netherlands) for their fire resistance in compliance with EN 1366-4:2006 and provide a fire resistance that is classified in accordance with EN 13501-2:2003 up to EI 240 inclusive, that is to say 240 minutes of integrity and insulation, depending on material and configuration.
