Due to the departure of our Lead Buyer Indirect & Buyer Direct, we are looking for a new colleague for Walraven Europe for the position of

European Lead Buyer Indirect (m/f, fulltime)

analysis – optimization – international – data – projects

In this role, you are responsible for managing the “indirect” portfolio of buying Freight Packaging, Energy, Outsourced manufacturing and other MRO. It is about maintaining and improving the performance of the related suppliers at lowest possible costs, taking a sustainable long term relationship into account.

You will also support the buying activities for the steel category, such as combining the EU steel demand, tender process, assist with the selections and maintain the Purchase Agreements.

The European Lead Buyer Indirect is part of the sourcing team, and reports to the Sourcing Strategist Manufacturing EU. He/she will work closely together with the other Lead Buyers Trade and Manufacturing and planners.

Location is Mijdrecht, the Netherlands.

Wat makes you our ideal candidate?

You have finalized a B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Economics or industrial management, combined with specific purchasing knowledge;

3-5 Years of experience in Strategic Buying;

You are an excellent negotiator, able to build constructive relationships and know how to run projects. You are well organized and have a strong appetite for data analytics & reporting: so digital profient with strong reporting capabilities and experience with power BI. Last but not least: you are a teamplayer!

Travel is required for the role and a prerequisite is to speak and write English fluently.
