For our Project Management Support Office – part of Walraven Europe, based in Mijdrecht,  we are looking for a new colleague in the position of:

PMO Specialist (m/f, full-time)

control – processes – support – international

In this position you support and contribute to the execution of programs, projects and investments.
You are an important sparring partner for the project and/or program manager. And having the opportunity to work and learn from experienced colleagues in the field of program/project management makes this position interesting and valuable.

You are part of the PMO department and will report to the Managing Director of the business area where you will work in. The business areas where we are currently having positions vacant are in   Sales & Marketing and Manufacturing & Sourcing. You play an important role in project and program management in the respective business area.
The aim is to make projects run successfully together with the team, based on the PMO philosophy. You help with project management in the broadest sense of the word. You provide up-to-date insight into progress and help to monitor it, make procedures and standards available, communicate with the project team and provide solicited and unsolicited advice at every stage. Your knowledge, network and experience contribute to a fast and good realization and communication. You contribute in every phase, from business case and planning to business as usual. You stimulate “project management thinking” in all colleagues, you provide training in this and you help with questions or problems.

What makes this role interesting?

What makes you our ideal candidate?

A Bachelors or Masters degree in (technical) business administration or similar direction and excellent communication skills are essential in this position.
You already have 1-3 years work experience, preferably gained in an international environment with a diversity of projects. As a result, you are familiar with important project management methodologies (PRINCE2®, P3O®) and are able to identify bottlenecks in projects at an early stage. You are able to take people along and have the capacity to translate project management and our project approach in a pragmatic way. You connect easily and have an eye for cultural diversity.
Last but not least: you are not afraid to voice your opinion, are well organized, and work in a structured way, you can present and you can express yourself excellently in English.

Working at Walraven means working in a proud company going for the long term with strong core values that are lived:  reliable, committed, no-nonsense, inventive and entrepreneurial. Walraven provides an ambitious, financially healthy environment, fair pay, many days off and stimulating opportunities for development. These are just a few aspects that we would like to tell you more about.
