Walraven is seeking a Machine Operator to join our team! Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Machine Operator is charged with mainly operating the roll former.
Core Objective:
Operate and technically secure machine operations producing metal building product parts. Use a variety of tools and equipment according to required specifications in a specific area of a production line in a continuous manufacturing setting.
What you will do:
1. Production Oversight
- Operate roll form production machine.
- Set-up and adjust machinery.
- Mechanically/electrically troubleshoot machinery.
- Repair machinery.
- Execute machine maintenance.
- Meet production schedule and daily output.
- Assist in production scheduling.
- Utilize handheld tools such as a caliper, micrometer, voltmeter.
- Perform quality work and ensure the product meets quality standards.
- Conform with quality standard and procedures.
- Identify product defects and complete appropriate documentation.
- Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
2. What you have (Skills and Qualifications)
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3-5 years mechanical/electrical maintenance and machine operating experience
- Self-starter and independent
- Team player and good communicator
- Attention to detail and good self-motivation skills
- Basic computer and utilization skills (Office 365, excel)
- Electrical mechanical diagram/drawing reading skills
- PLC trouble shooting
- Use of gauges and measuring tools
- Machining and use of all required tools
- CAD drawings skill (preferred)
3. Physical demands and abilities
- Regularly lift 30-50 pounds
- Regularly perform repetitive tasks
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
