Multi-service support system for a hospital M&E renovation
A hospital renovation project in the north of England required a multi-service support system to support a large number of mechanical and electrical services running through long corridor spaces. Walraven provided a heavy-duty support structure that maximised the available space while accommodating high service loads.
Maximising limited corridor space
The installation included extensive electrical containment and pipework to deliver power and services throughout the hospital. The challenge was to safely support these services across the width of the corridors while operating within a confined space.
Heavy-duty modular solution
The Walraven Maxx system was selected due to its ability to span the corridor width, support high loads and provide flexibility on site.
By suspending multiple services from a single bracket, the contractor was able to make efficient use of the available space. Pipework and electrical services were installed both above and below the support structure, while the modular design enabled simple on-site design changes when required.
Flexible installation
The result is a space-efficient support system that safely accommodates multiple services while providing the flexibility needed for a complex hospital refurbishment project.
