Walraven RapidRail®
Walraven RapidRail® is our unique lightweight channel system which offers an easy to install and more sustainable alternative to traditional strut channel. Ideal for installations such as plumbing and heating pipework, cable trays and ventilation ducts where heavy 41 x 41 or 41 x 21 channel is not always necessary. We recommend our 30×20 Walraven RapidRail® channel profile which is load tested for proven performance and uses significantly less steel making it more sustainable and easier to install, especially overhead.
- Smart, strong design using less steel than standard C-profile channel
- Twist and tighten pre-assembled accessories for fast connection of pipe clips
- Manufactured in Walraven factories to ensure quality standards
- EPD (Environmental Product Declaration) available

Thinking about using the Walraven RapidRail® System?
Have a look at some quick FAQs to help you decide
Is Walraven RapidRail® sustainable?
Our experts carefully balanced the amount of steel used with the desired load performance of the channel to provide more sustainable, lightweight channel system compared to using standard strut profiles. Our 30×20 profile uses 1.9kg less steel per metre than 41 x 41 strut.
How do I know the load capacity?
Walraven RapidRail® is lightweight but offers a tested and approved load capacity suitable for most standard domestic and light commercial pipe and cable tray installations. See the technical datasheet to find out load details.
Is Walraven RapidRail® product certified?
Our production locations are ISO 9001 certified, and our Walraven RapidRail® System has RAL-GZ 655/D approvals.
Everything to guarantee quality, reliability and safety in construction. For technical details, please look at the specific product in our web catalogue.
What are the main benefits of switching from traditional strut to Walraven RapidRail®?
Using traditional channel profiles on installations where the loads do not require it can lead to more steel being used than necessary, long installation times due to heavy bulky product and unnecessary loads on the building structure. Moving from over-specified channel to the use of optimised channel supports can lower costs, improve productivity, reduce embodied carbon and simplify installation.

Small channel – big benefits!
Walraven RapidRail® is a lightweight channel system designed as a faster, easier-to-install alternative to traditional strut. Manufactured from thinner material, it is easier to cut, handle and install, particularly in overhead applications. Plus, with 2m lengths available (in addition to 3m and 6m) transportation and storage on site is more convenient. What’s more, dedicated fixing holes at 50 mm intervals allow quick and accurate installation with concrete screws.
Despite its compact size, Walraven RapidRail® delivers proven load-tested performance for a wide range of plumbing, heating, ventilation and cable management applications. The system uses 1.9 kg less steel per metre than traditional 41 × 41 strut, helping to reduce material consumption, while fast-fit accessories such as the RapidRail® Hammerfix slide nut can significantly speed up installation by eliminating the need for loose nuts, bolts, washers and stud.

More sustainable design
The Walraven RapidRail® product line is manufactured in our own factories to ensure quality standards and delivery flexibility, and can be utilised in all lightweight channel applications. The channel profiles (we recommend the 30×20 profile) use less material than a regular 41×41 or 41×21 C-profile channel.
Walraven has roll-forming lines in several countries and owns all production processes. This allows us to offer the best possible quality and lean supply chains. For installers, there is minimal trumpet effect after cutting due to the gentle roll-forming process.
A compliant EPD (Environmental Product Declaration) is available for RapidRail!
What do installers think?
We’ve had some great feedback from installers who have been using Walraven RapidRail® on domestic and light commercial jobs. It’s well-used for plant room pipework where it makes the fixing of rows of pipework a breeze compared to using individual backplates.
