The Ensemble in Amsterdam was a challenging project—not only because of its height (119 meters) but also because of the technical requirements for installing solar panels on two towers. From the start, Walraven worked hand in hand with us at Energy@TheOffice and with Cordeel, the contractor, to ensure everything ran smoothly.

Walraven’s engineers didn’t just deliver a design; they provided a fully tailored solution. They created a robust triangular frame for an east-west configuration and solved a critical wind load issue by adjusting the angle of the south-facing panels from 10° to 7°. This proactive approach ensured safety without sacrificing efficiency.
The system incorporated Walraven RapidStrut® for the main structure and Walraven DobyGrip suspension systems for secure installation. Every component was protected with Walraven BIS UltraProtect® 1000, guaranteeing durability and corrosion resistance—essential for a project exposed to extreme conditions at height.
What really stood out was the collaboration. Walraven coordinated all models and designs in Trimble so that Cordeel could implement flawlessly. Communication was clear, decisions were quick, and the entire process—from engineering to installation—was transparent and efficient.

Thanks to this partnership, we delivered a sustainable solar installation at the highest level, literally and figuratively. Walraven didn’t just supply products; they made the entire project feel effortless.”
