BIS Pacifyre® LC Luminaire Covers

BIS Pacifyre^® DC Intumescent fire hoods have been developed in order to give maximum protection to ceilings with an installed recessed light fittings. In the event of fire the BIS Pacifyre^® LC Fire hood prevents the fire from penetrating through the apertures in the ceiling. This keeps the protective fire resistance of the ceiling unimpaired.

Ceiling light fittings must be mounted in compliance with the recommendations of the manufacturer of the ceiling.

• Suitable for suspended ceilings with a fire resistance of 10 to 30 or to 60 minutes;

• Material: mineral fibre material with a thickness of approx. 12.7 mm
• Simple installation method either from above or below the ceiling; can be fitted in seconds; suitable for new build and renovations
• No drilling, screwing or support is necessary
• Suitable for a large group of low and high voltage lighting
• Excellent thermal insulation
• Excellent acoustic properties: effective barrier against noise transmission
• Prevents dust and dirt from coming in contact with a hot bulb

The Pacifyre^® LC Intumescent Fire hoods for light fittings have been tested in suspended ceiling situations in accordance with the general procedures and criteria of BS476 part 23:1987; Certificate No.: FG89621208217/BRE. Duration of protection: 73 minutes. Test report A04038 Chiltern.
