New, improved, enhanced – small changes creating real value on site
Walraven is pleased to introduce the next generation of concrete screws: the new Walraven W-HLX range. Designed with targeted product improvements and enhanced performance in mind, the updated range demonstrates a simple principle: small changes can create real value on site.
Built to support faster installation, greater flexibility and dependable performance, the W-HLX range has been developed to help installers work more efficiently while maintaining the high standards expected across demanding applications.
Key updates to our concrete screws
Across the range, several key enhancements have been introduced to improve both installation experience and overall performance.

- Updated thread geometry and improved cutting teeth support faster, easier installation
- Option to install without drill hole cleaning helps reduce installation time and streamline workflow on site
- Screw adjustment after installation provides greater flexibility when fine-tuning positioning.
- Reduced edge and anchor spacing distances, making installation easier in more confined areas where space can be limited
- Zinc flake coating on hexagon and pan head variants, providing enhanced durability for demanding internal environments, while the female threaded version remains zinc plated.
Concrete screws built for performance across applications
The new W-HLX concrete screw range includes the following variants:
- W-HLX-H (Hexagon Head) – delivering high load capacity with up to three anchoring depths per size for greater design and installation flexibility.
- W-HLX-P (Pan Head) – designed to suit installation with Walraven RapidRail® Light-Duty Channel, helping create efficient and integrated support solutions.
- W-HLX-PX (Large Panhead) – compatible with Walraven RapidStrut® Channel and featuring a larger pan head for secure installation performance.
- W-HLX-N (Female Thread) – a unibody concrete screw with internal M8 and M10 thread options, offering a practical threaded fixing solution.
Across the range, induction hardened technology provides very high load capacity, while robust approvals and certifications support use in demanding installations. The range is fire rated from R30–R120, approved for Seismic C1 and C2 applications, and complies with VdS CEA 4001:2024-01 (08) for sprinkler system applications in concrete elements.
